Hello and welcome to Modern Design Materials, I’m Kristin.

For the last 20 yrs, I’ve been a designer, mentor, and a trusted professional in the New England Design Community. I hope you’ll join me on this adventure, as I continue to build my new business as an Independant Representative for great design brands you know and love…and maybe a few new lines you’ve never seen before. These brands represent a wide range of products and materials suitable for workplace, hospitality, retail, education and even residential projects.

I’d like to be an added resource to your design team. Designers trust that I will be honest about my product offerings and capabilities. As an NCIDQ certified designer myself, I know how important this approach is. Ask me about fire code, environmental concerns, budget, or lead-time. Send me your design inspiration, client presentations, renderings, or a picture of your existing finishes and have the confidence of confidentially when it is required. If I don’t have a solution for your project, I might even suggest a product or brand from a competitor. I am looking forward to working with you on your next project.

Hi, I’m Allison.

For over 18 years I have been a commercial interior designer, with experience at multiple Boston-area architecture and design firms. My concentration has been in workplace design, but my experience covers a wide range of project types, from higher ed to R&D to laboratory.

I am excited to be “on the other side of the table”, acting as a resource for designers and architects to find high quality products and materials to suit their project needs. I understand what it takes to navigate a project from concept to developed design to construction and beyond. Years of proficiency as a designer means I have walked in your shoes; ordered samples, compared pricing and presented ideas to clients.

I look forward to working together to create meaningful spaces!
